Our landscape team is an experienced team of designers and engineers with expertise in the planning, design, construction, and evaluation of healing environments. These expertise combined with investment in local capacity-building and sustainable development practices uniquely positions us to help shape ecologically healthy, beautiful landscapes.

Our approach to landscape design begins with planning that immerses our team in the context, identifying unique environmental qualities and relevant regulations, interviewing key stakeholders, and engaging local community members in order to fully understand the needs and opportunities of each project.

MASS begins thinking about the impact of the landscape early in the design process. Using knowledge gained during our planning stage, we embed opportunities to support the local economy through use of local contractors and locally-fabricated and sourced materials. We use an evidence-based design process to insure that our environments support wellness and dignity.

Examples of our landscape design can be see in the National Memorial for Peace and Justice, the Rwandan Institute for Conservation Agriculture, the Butaro District Hospital, the Gheskio Tuberculosis Center, the Mubuga Primary School, the New Redemption Hospital, and Manyara Ranch Primary School
