Joe Christa is a Landscape Designer at MASS Design Group, dedicated to creating thriving ecosystems in the built environment that inspire and nourish communities.
At MASS, Joe Christa has contributed to the design and construction administration of several rewarding projects in conservation, healthcare, and public memory. Her work on the Ellen Degeneres Campus of The Dian Fossey Fund and the Rwanda Institute of Conservation Agriculture inspired her to be proactive in the preservation of native green spaces and the design of functional and resilient spaces that will serve current and future generations.
Outside of her design practice, Joe Christa is committed to mentoring and empowering young women interested in pursuing careers in architecture and design. By sharing her knowledge and experience in the field, she hopes to help create a more diverse and equitable profession that reflects the communities she serves.
Joe Christa completed a Master of Arts in Landscape Architecture from Leeds Beckett University as a Chevening Scholar. She holds a bachelor's degree in Environmental Design from the University of Rwanda. She is an associate member of the British Landscape Institute and the Rwanda Institute of Architects.
