A skilled design thinker, Andrew is driven to see the next generation of designers leading new, innovative work across the continent. As a Director based in South Africa, he supports the growth of MASS work outside our first studio in Kigali, Rwanda by developing partnerships and projects that support the thriving of people and the planet.
Upon joining the MASS team in Rwanda in 2010, Andrew worked on health, education, and housing projects across the region, including the Umubano Primary School, Mubuga Primary School, Butaro Doctors Housing, and Rwinkwavu Village Housing.
In 2014, Andrew moved to the Democratic Republic of the Congo, to serve as the project manager for the Ilima Conservation School where he supervised the construction management and documentation of the school.
After receiving his Master of Science in Architecture and Building Technology from MIT, Andrew rejoined MASS in South Africa to steward projects across the continent. He is a registered professional architect with the South African Council for the Architectural Profession.
