Muha leverages design to address societal challenges, particularly in the public realm. Growing up in the vibrant landscapes of Salvador, Rio de Janeiro, and Brasilia, Muha developed a deep understanding of design's power to shape communities and cultures.

Muha brings this passion to his work as a Landscape Designer at MASS. His journey began with undergraduate studies in architecture and urbanism at the University of Brasilia, followed by a Master of Architecture focused on race, memory, and territory. His thesis, Architecture & Memories of Slavery & Resistance, earned the 2022 University of Brasilia Arch School Best Thesis award and was a finalist for the national ANPARQ 2022 Best Academic Thesis Award. More recently, Muha completed a Master in Landscape Architecture at Harvard Graduate School of Design, where he assisted in African Landscape research and teaching.

Before joining MASS, Muha gained experience as a residential architect in Brazil and contributed to projects, from ideation to technical and artistic drawings, at MVMA in New York. 

In addition to his architectural work, Muha is a painter with exhibitions in New York, Paris, and the Brasilia National Museum. His artistic and design pursuits are fueled by the exploration of Brazilian popular music, dance, and Black Diaspora culture.
