Originally from the Rock Creek district of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe, Celina Brownotter is a Hunkpapa Lakota and Diné designer part of the Sustainable Native Communities Lab based in O’ga P’ogeh also known as Santa Fe. Celina received her Masters of Architecture from the University of Southern California and her  Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Design from Montana State University. Her research focuses on the analysis of how culture, beliefs, and traditions can positively affect Lakota tribal housing. Her strong eye for design and passion for collaborating and engaging with Indigenous communities is greatly valued at the SNC design lab.
