Kigali, Rwanda

Alex joined MASS in 2016 and is a part of the Kigali design team. He is currently working on a range of projects throughout East Africa including a tech campus in Nairobi, Kenya. Prior to joining MASS, Alex participated in a professional residency program working at Allied Works Architecture in Portland, Oregon. Alex received his Bachelors of Architecture degree from The University of Texas at Austin with a semester studying abroad at the Ecole Nationale Superieure d’Architecture in Paris. During his studies, he was also involved in the design of a K-12 school for a Dalit community in Tamil Nadu, India. He continues to investigate the extent to which buildings can have cultural, environmental, political, and social impact on people’s lives.
