I believe that our responsibility as architects is to always design to trigger systematic change in society and to positively impact the environment of which we are all a part.
Alberto joined MASS in early 2016 and is currently working on a range of projects in East and West Africa, among them the new headquarters for One Acre Fund. However, his deep interest and personal involvement in international development began while still in graduate school, supporting an infrastructure project in rural Madagascar. Prior to joining MASS, he worked for architecture firms in Europe and the United States including Bjarke Ingels Group in Copenhagen and REX Architecture in New York. Alberto received both his Bachelor and Master of Architecture from IUAV University of Venice, graduating with a thesis that investigates the relationship between carbon emissions, urbanization and reforestation policies in developing countries.
