Junior Development Associate

Flexible Location

MASS is seeking a Development Associate to support the fundraising goals of the organization. Supporting the development team, this individual will be responsible for donor management tasks like individual and institutional gift processing, fund development research, and reporting. This individual should be comfortable supporting the administrative tasks associated with fund development; the coordination of multiple team members’ schedules; creating their own calendar of deadlines; and must be resourceful in their preparation, and militant in their organization.

This opportunity is a full-time position that - for the foreseeable future - will be located as a remote/home office position. Ideally, and when the restrictions brought about by Covid-19 lift, the position will be based in Atlanta or Boston, with potential for travel to other locations.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • working proficiency of the Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, & Photoshop)
  • 2 or more years of professional experience in a fundraising environment or in an office w/ exposure to marketing, advocacy, or public affairs
  • master of Google Apps for Business (Gmail, Calendar, Drive) and of Microsoft office (Powerpoint, Excel, etc)
  • experience in donor lifecycle management preferred
  • experience with Candid and The Foundation Directory Online
  • experience in technical and descriptive fundraising writing desired
  • experience using Salesforce CRM for fundraising desired
  • interest in a long-term role
  • language skills are a plus
