I believe both communities and individuals have a responsibility to address issues of poverty, social justice, and sustainable development.
Najwa joined MASS in October 2017 as a Junior Finance Associate. She helps manage accounts on projects and supports MASS’s Operations and Development work. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in Economics from Jacksonville University. There she participated in multiple extracurricular activities, including a one-week immersion program at the University of the Highlands and Islands Inverness College in Scotland. This program examined social entrepreneurism and its prevalence in the United Kingdom. Her program provided recommendations on improving environmental and human well-being. Najwa’s interests in social well-being derives from her extensive research in how poorly built infrastructure can harm economic development in a particular community. Najwa plans to continue her education in the near future, as she is passionate about economic development that provides an opportunity for individuals, specifically in developing countries.
