Miguel Roldan Signes joined MASS in 2019, working as a Product and Furniture Designer on projects including the Rwanda Institute for Conservation Agriculture, The Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund, and the Norrsken Kigali House.
Working through MASS.Made and MASS’s Interior and FF&E design teams, Miguel worked on product design, catalog development, strategy, and design communication. Miguel helped to co-design a 32-piece furniture collection and catalog for MASS.Made, in partnership with multiple Rwandan artisan cooperatives, industrialized companies, and creative entrepreneurs. Miguel also supported design work for the Dian Fossey Fund Gorilla exhibit, the Housing Affordability Breakthrough Challenge, the Heroes Exhibition Design, and has served in other 3D-Design and fabrication roles.
Miguel has also worked on furniture design as well as showroom and temporary exhibitions for internationally recognized furniture design companies. Miguel has a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design Engineering and Product Development from UCH CEU Cardenal Herrera in Valencia, and a Master's in Sustainable Design from the ELISAVA Barcelona School of Design and Engineering.
Miguel is passionate about leveraging design as a key tool to face the challenges of our time. His work contributes to changing the perception of design, helping promote the redistribution and accessibility of goods and work.
