Adam Saltzman is a relentless problem-solver who seeks to apply his design thinking and entrepreneurial spirit toward tackling global challenges. Adam leads strategy and partnerships as a Principal at MASS Design Group’s Africa Studio. Since joining MASS in 2011, Adam has overseen the planning and construction of projects in healthcare, public memory, and conservation. 

While managing MASS’s operations in Haiti, Adam managed the construction of GHESKIO’s MDR Tuberculosis Hospital and Cholera Treatment Center. In 2016, he planned the New Redemption Hospital Caldwell with Liberia’s Ministry of Health and the World Bank. More recently, Adam managed the construction administration for Equal Justice Initiative’s National Memorial for Peace and Justice (Montgomery, Alabama) and Nyarugenge District Hospital (Kigali, Rwanda). 

As the Director of MASS.Build, Adam led the construction of The Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund and the Rwanda Institute for Conservation Agriculture. 

Before joining MASS, Adam assisted with recovery efforts in the aftermath of the 2010 Haiti earthquake through Architecture for Humanity. He also interned at Carazo Arquitectos (San Jose, Costa Rica) and Perkins&Will (New York and Atlanta). 

Adam holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from James Madison University and a Master of Architecture from the University of Cincinnati (2011).
